Italian soft nougat

The nougat is a typical Italian sweet and Sara Dolciaria produces it exclusively handcrafted according to the traditional recipes, without the use of automated machinery but only with the skilful hands of its master confectioners.

The ingredients are the traditional almonds, honey, sugar and egg white, to which can be optionally added walnuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, candied fruit, chocolate and so on!

Sara Dolciaria is an artisan confectionery company established in 1990, and since then it produces various types of soft and hard nougat cakes (in many different formats) chocolate-cakes in many different flavours, pralines and chocolate bars, classic brittle bars and cakes. Recently Sara Dolciaria has introduced in its portfolio the sugar-free nougat and the sugar-free brittle lines, receiving since the beginning an enthusiastic feedback.

All production is done strictly with Italian raw materials, the product quality is strictly controlled, and all process is according to traditional recipes of Italian craftsmanship.

The taste and the freshness of our products comes from the careful selection of ingredients and from the expert processing, in this way we produce the classic nougat crumbly and tender, the soft nougat cakes, and delicious “Donuts of Nougat” (i.e. soft nougat cake in “donuts” form and glazed by chocolate)

Sara Dolciaria produces different sizes of nougat cakes, nougat bars and single portions, here is our selection:

Morbidosa Roma (previously named “Line CM 28”)

Morbidosa Roma is made of round soft nougat cakes of about 4 kg available in over 116 different flavours. From the classic almond, hazelnut, pistachio up to particular tastes like black cherry, lemon, trifle, orange, lemon and exotic fruits. All cakes can be portioned up to 20 slices of about 200g each.

Morbidosa Rettangolare 15×30 (previously named “Line 15×30”)

Morbidosa Rettangolare 15×30 is made of rectangular soft nougat cakes, it can be produced both in about 2.5 kg or 1,5kg, and portioned up 16 slices. Each slice is wrapped individually, and the weight varies in line with the version total size: 140/160gr in case of 2,5kg version and 90/110gr in case of the 1.5kg one. Morbidosa Rettangolare is available in many flavours from chocolate, coffee, banana, orange or cherry, to macaroons, pistachio or limoncello.

Morbidosa Tonda (previously named “Line Tonda”)

Morbidosa Tonda line can vary from 7kg weight down to 3kg weight. The 7kg version is the biggest available size, it is a cake of soft nougat portioned on request up to 20 slices of 340/360gr each, while the 3kg version is the smallest rounded nougat cake and the single slice weights 140/160gr.

Besides the cakes, Dolciaria Sara produces nougat bars from 20gr up to 200gr, the nougat cubes of 200gr and nougat blocks, all of them can be soft nougat, hard nougat and sugar-free nougat.

All our handmade soft nougat has 18 months shelf life, it does not need controlled temperature room, it can be stored in cool, dry place.
